Mail Week 47 (1/3) - Incoming

As I promised, I've got a lot mail to show you! I'll post all my mail of week 47 in three parts, this is the part one! :) In this one there will be only some of the incoming mail I've received this week (still not all of it :D)...

First a pretty letter from Poland! I love it, thanks Martyna!

(It's funny how the letter came to me even though it says only "Melissa". There's only my last name written on the mailbox , not even the number of my house. The mailman must have learned that all the pretty envelopes are for me xD)

Also I received this cutie from Germany (look at those owls! ♥)

 Thanks, Daria!! You have no idea how much I love everything you sent! I mean, look at those stickers for example :D

Aaand also my stamp order arrived! I wanted to use some of the stamps instantly so I had to take pictures of them in the evening ---> the reason for that awful lightning >_<

These are my faves at the moment!

I'm so excited to use these new Christmas stamps, they're so pretty and shimmery ♥

Stay tuned for part 2!

Sticker Slapped PC and Stamps from Lithuania

Hi! How are you? I'd love to hear more from you guys. :)

Today I'm excited to show you more incoming mail! These came today, they're both swaps.
My friends (most of them) don't really seem to understand how I can be so excited about mail but I count on you guys, you know what a nice mailday is able to do for your mood. ;D

This postcard is from Tina, Mississippi. I was excited to join one of those Sticker Slapped PC swaps because they seem like a lot of fun and straight after joining I headed to make my own postcard. I think it's not received yet but I'll show you the card I sent when I know it's reached its destination. :)

I love how colorful this postcard looks:

And the yellow envelope came from Ema, Lithuania. It's from another Used Stamps swaps ^^

I have no idea why blogger wanted to rotate the picture (below). I literally uploaded it like 3738227380 times and it was fine before uploading. >__< So please don't mind (mind blogger xD). :)

Here are the stamps:

I really like especially the ones from Portugal and Czech Republic!

And here are the stamps on the postcard and envelope:

Thanks, ladies! :)

Also one swap I sent (which is already received) to Nevada, USA. It was a 10 Used Stamps swap and here are the stamps I sent:

My partner said that she also likes foreign coins so I decided to send some old Finnish coins (penni) :)

And now to sauna, see you!

Stamps to Australia

Another swap I've joined - 10 Used Post Stamps #28! Here are the stamps I sent to Australia, the stamps that I got from my partner are already here. :)

I even took the pictures outside! :D Not sure whether the background looks nice or just simply stupid. Anyway, :D here are the stamps I sent:

Oh, and have you already voted? I added a poll about what you'd like to read on this blog, you can find it in the right top corner! :)

★ Two Outgoing Swaps

Here's some of the mail I sent last week!

Left: Favourite Quote PC Swap ★ Right: 20 Used Post Stamps #26 Swap

I really can't say I like the plain envelope that left to Germany, I should've decorated it :/

But I like the stamp I put on it :D

And the card's also to Germany

These are the stamps I sent:

For what I know, at least the postcard is already received. Now I'm just waiting for my other mail to reach their destinations.. :)

And I just realized today is exactly 100 days from the last night in Turkey! I still can't believe it! Time is a strange thing, it always amazes me. So tomorrow is a day when I've been at home again for total 100 days. Wow. O__O That's all I can say really.

I'll talk to you guys soon with more mail I sent last week!

Floral Amazingness from Las Vegas

I was so happy to see this beautiful envie in my mailbox today:

Turned out it was from Las Vegas, USA via another used stamps swap I've joined! :) The whole thing was to send only 10 used post stamps, but my sweet partner took it to the next level and also sent a postcard and a small gift.

I especially love those four stamps from Japan!

My partner Liz sent me these as a gift:

Thanks a lot! :)

Bunch of Used Stamps & Other Swaps & Letter from Germany

As promised, here's more of my latest mail, mostly swaps! :)

This first envelope is for the "Coins Swap E", I sent a whole Finnish euro coin set to Thailand:

And here's some lovely incoming mail:

A card I received from Florida, "Simply a Senders Choice Tourist PC" swap, love the stamps!!

And I also got a pretty letter (love the envelope!!) from the amazing Daria, Germany. I love how she'd wrapped her letter and goodies! <3

A long, pretty letter and stickers and a couple memos ^^

I also joined "20 Used Post Stamps #26" swap because I thought it'd be so much fun, and I was right :D I've never really "collected" stamps or even thought it'd be interesting. I've just somehow always really liked different stamps from different places but never actually called it "collecting" them. I decided to get rid of some prejudices of stamp collecting being extremely boring hobby and joined the swap. I really like what my Dutch partner sent me!

As the title says, the idea was to send 20 used post stamps, anything more will just be extra. Well, my partner sent me these definitely 20+ stamps and...

...also these stamps as an extra gift! <3

 And here's two closer look pictures because I couldn't decide which pics to post! :D

My faves :)

Thanks, everyone!! ^^

Outgoing Postcard + Letter

I sent this 'Greetings from Loimaa' card to Menguy, Texas. I know she has already received the card like a week ago so I can safely post it now. :D We swapped postcards (here's the card I received from her) and now I'm excitedly looking forward to a letter from her. :)

And this is  a letter I sent to Xavier, China. I'm just obsessed with that letter set! I also sent him some Finnish stamps. I hope he'll like them :)

Have a great week!

ps. Have you already noticed how the penguin clock/calendar thing on the right side changes (almost) every time you refresh this page? ;)

Grasshoppers & late posted letter

Haha, I just realized I haven't posted this letter I sent to Daria (Germany) even though I just posted a letter from her.. Oops. :D So these posts are in strange order, I hope you don't mind ^^

I sent her some Finnish labels/stickers (my Finn readers know those for sure ;D) and used stamps and a flag sticker. I'm in love with that bear stationery!

I like those circular flower stamps :)

Last weeks mail (#13)

It's such a great way of starting this week by showing you what was inside my mailbox last week, isn't it? :)

In the beginning of the week I received a letter from my Russian friend Olga, a few days later arrived this a bit thicker letter (which I found out was also from Olga :D) and on thursday I got a letter from Shine, China (check out those heart-shaped stamps!)! Let's get a closer look! :)

Inside the (first) letter from Olga I found two beautiful cards (my birthday was a month ago, it seems like the postal service has been extremely slow this time.. But I don't mind, it's great the letter finally made it to me!) and a short letter! *__* <3

And in the letter / small parcel that arrived just some days after were these two chocolates as a small birthday gift  ^^

I'll show you the letter from China by this little collage! Shine sent me a card showing traditional Chinese art, three Japanese stamps (so pretty!!), a bus ticket and the actual letter of course. If you see this post, Shine: Thank you! :)

Let's see what amazingness I'll found from the mailbox this week, have a great (mail) week everyone!!

SPSH Swap 2015 - outgoing to Italy!

Yey I'm so excited to write you about something cool I participated in about three weeks ago; the Secret Penpal Scavenger Hunt hosted by Fab from Snail Mail Love blog!!

According to Fab, SPSH is "a swap aimed two connect to strangers via mail by having them randomly paired, and exchanging a package full of wonders!". This was my first time joining the swap and I really love the idea! :)

Even though I'm still waiting for my own parcel to arrive (soon, I hope!!), I wanted to show you what I got for my partner, Barbara from Italy! Below you can see everything I sent her in small packagings.

 We had to pick five items from this list to find/craft + a gift:
  • the City Explorer's Kit: take a day off and collect little things of your city for your partner. Can include, but not limited to: maps, flowers & leaves, postcards, tiny souvenirs, photos, interesting newspaper clippings & pamphlets, etc  - just don't grab a bunch of random junk within arm's reach, put some effort in it;
  • Something that represent you: for example - are you an artist? Send your partner a little painting. Do you love to knit? Send your partner a hat.. and so on;
  • A mix CD with your favorite tunes. (Pro Tip: create a cover for it);
  • the Postal Freak's Kit: Can include, but not limited to: postal goodies such as address labels, used stamps, envelopes, stationery, a mail art kit etc.
  • the Bad Day Survival Kit: assemble a kit of nice things that may help your partner to feel better when they're having a bad day. (Ideas: your favorite candy, a poem/story, bubble bath, a list of  happy songs/movies etc);
  • Something quirky;
  • Something with - your partner's - monogram on it;
  • Something oddly shaped;
  • Something old fashioned;
  • Something to read;
  • + a gift for your partner!

As soon as I saw the list I had a lot of ideas what to do, totally inspired! :D

The first thing I picked from the list was this, 'the Postal Freak's Kit'. I included some cardstocks, envelopes, papers, tags...

...and this small bag/envelope filled with stickers, used stamps, priority labels etc ^^

 For 'something quirky' I decided to send something Finnish and sweet; Angry Birds treats (2 lollipops + liquorice)! Maybe not the quirkiest thing ever but ohwell, at least my partner liked them which counts the most, right?

I loved to put this one together! It's 'the Bad Day Survival Kit' where I put some candies, Finnish chocolate (who wouldn't need some chocolate on a bad day?), Moomin tea, perfume...Oh, and a list of cheerful (Finnish) songs!

For 'the City Explorer's Kit' I found some brochures and maps from multiple cities instead of just one. And added a few photos (they look strange in this picture because of the lightning) :)

And for the gift I decided to send Barbara a bit of Finnish design!

Now I'll continue looking forward to my SPSH incoming mail... Can't wait! :)
